Half term

We are heading home later today after a great week at the Chalet. The weather has been so hot, on one day the garden thermometer recorded 43 degrees in the sun! Extra logs were delivered getting ready for the cold winter nights.
We had no luck setting up the web cam, as we had faulty parts supplied in the UK. For now we are publishing other web cam images on our web cams link.
Saturday we walked up Nyon, which was a hard walk, and recognised the runs which are so much easier to ski in the winter.
On Sunday we drove to Chatel, along the Thonon road. The village was pretty quiet, but when we ski over there this winter it will be lively again. Driving home we came over the top road via "Col de Corbiere" which was so beautiful. There was a huge building development right on the top, building perhaps 100 new chalets. That said there is plenty of building work going on here in Morzine with cranes all over the town. Constructors are trying to get finished before the winter sets in.
When we arrived a week ago I mowed the lawn thinking it was the last time this season, well with all the sunshine it is ready for another cut now, a last job before we go.

Going to Morzine for half term with family.

It is inter season so the town will be quite. We hope to install a remote controled web cam so check back in a week or so and see if its working. In the mean time there are other web cams on http://www.chaletlecoffy.co.uk/webcams.php

Paragliding in Morzine

Morzine as a great place to learn to paraglide, or fly if qualified. We are hoping to have some special paragliding themed weeks in summer 2007.
The landing fields and school is just 100m away from the chalet.
Anyone interested?
